This is run by the community midwife, please make appointments at the Health Centre.
Minor Surgery Clinics
A range of minor operations can be performed under local
anaesthetic. Please discuss this with the doctor who will arrange an appointment.
Child Health Clinic
Child developmental checks are carried out by either the Health Visitor or doctor and will be arranged by appointment. You will be invited to bring your baby and pre school child for immunisations with the Practice Nurse.
These appointments are available by arrangement, but only when there are two doctors in surgery.
Well Woman Clinic
You are welcome to attend for routine check ups including cervical smears and breast examination. Advice is available on the menopause and other women’s problems. This
service is usually provided through our practice nurse.
Contraceptive advice is freely available from the doctor for all patients. Special arrangements are made to fit contraceptive coils.
For emergency contraception please make an appointment as soon as possible to see the doctor.
Diabetic, asthma, heart disease clinics
These are run by our practice nurse and are by invitation or on request.
All patients targeted for flu vaccinations will be notified annually in October. Currently this comprises patients over 65, patients with a chronic illness and carers.
If you are over 65 and have never had a pneumovax vaccination please call the surgery.
Help and advice on stopping smoking is available from the doctors and the health visitor.
Advice for foreign travel including immunisations is available. Please make an appointment in plenty of time before you are due to travel with our practice nurse. There may be a charge for some items, which are not covered by the NHS.
